McGill University SIMSSA Project Manager
Montréal, Québec, Kanien’kehá:ka Territory
I'm the project manager for the Single Interface for Music Score Searching and Analysis (SIMSSA), working at McGill University in the Music Technology department under Ichiro Fujinaga and Julie Cumming. We build optical music recognition and search and analysis tools for digital music collections.
I also studied musicology at McGill (MA 2015) and oboe performance at the University of British Columbia (B. Mus. 2011). I'm currently doing my MLIS online from the University of Alberta.
Other interests include digital humanities projects, music research, computer programming, free software, library technology, social justice, and folk music. I live in Montreal with my partner and almost-2-year-old daughter. Hobbies include hacking my knitting machine, canoeing in the Lachine Canal, and riding my bicycle everywhere.
