I am always very happy to talk about interesting ideas in musicology, particularly related to Beethoven. My other research interests include performance practices in nineteenth-century music, source studies, publishing in the nineteenth century, empirical and statistical approaches to music and performance, and performance cultures.
I completed my PhD on Beethoven’s Tempo Indications at Manchester University in 2016, and joined the music faculty at Oxford in 2017 as postdoctoral research assistant on the AHRC-funded project Transforming 19th Century Historically Informed Performance.
